I've been concerned that the excitement of choosing gold mini dress new styles will seriously blur the line between tasteful and age-appropriate. I can't begin to describe the difficulty finding sites that don't cater to teeny-boppers; or for mature women pink mini dress that don't place an emphasis on crisp and professional. I work as a writer for various charities in a home office. Of course, I want to look semi-polished. But, I have no need or desire to be fussy about my appearance every day.
Flats are very easy to pair with a mini dress, depending on the style of the dress. For example, a casual A-line style skater dress could be easily paired with Converse or Vans but a fitted bodycon dress definitely should not be. Try matching the style of the shoes with the style of the dress and remember that while it is easy to wear dressier shoes with a casual dress, the other way around is usually a mistake.
I took the stairs to the next floor. I found the Halston Heritage showroom by accident. I didn't intend to go to their sale. I was trying to find a different showroom, got lost and ended in front of the mobbed looking showroom. There was a huddle at the entrance because that's where the samples were. This is one sample sale that never happens in NY. I was very impressed with the selection and pricing. Stock Floor length gowns were $60; cocktail dresses were only $40! Damaged apparel was $20 and damaged clutches were only $10-$15!
